My aim in developing this site and other materials is to provide fully accessible content that adheres to good practices and applicable coding standards. Please let me know if page rendering, accessibility, or code security or performance can be improved. Full disclosure: I make an occasional, deliberate use of the inexplicably obsolete HTML center tag when it can replace several lines of CSS.

Copyright

Given my work in intellectual property law and advocacy for fair and open access to creative works, especially scholarly works, I feel it important to promote organizations and licensing approaches that impose the minimum practical burden in a given situation. I also prefer to support the work of others who share freely.

Accordingly, I have not taken steps to obscure the source code of this website or its CSS styling, and I share some of my course and presentation materials on this site, often without a copyright notice or attribution section. Any of my original work obtained from this site, unless otherwise marked, is released under the Creative Commons CC-BY-NC 4.0 license (attribution information below). For clarity, I do permit commercial use of these materials, but under a modified license--please contact me for details. I consider commercial use in a narrow and strict sense of monetary payment for access to or copies of materials, over and above the actual cost of printing/shipping.

Attribution Requirements

Any code, content, or materials downloaded, copied, or otherwise reused from this site need only provide prominent and full attribution in the following form:
